JOIN A COMMITTEE
MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE

- Work with committee chair to develop and execute the annual membership drive.

Welcome new members to the Alliance.

- Work with various committees to engage new and current members in events and networking opportunities.
MARKETING COMMITTEE

- Assist with maintaining a high level of awareness regarding the activities of the Alliance and its member organizations.

-
Identifying opportunities for the promotion of the Alliance and its mission.

- Create and maintain promotional materials that will increase 
the awareness.

- Assist the chair with website enhancements and recommendations.

CONFERENCE COMMITTEE

- Assist in the selection of conference site, budget development, solicitation of topics and speakers, and a schedule of events along with a conference evaluation/feedback form.

AWARDS COMMITTEE

- Assist with the coordination of the Alliance's award program(s).

Preparation of materials for each award including criteria 
and guidelines.

Solicit nominations, distribute collected materials for review, and 
assist in the distribution and presentation of awards.

REPRESENT A REGION

The Alliance is comprised of four regions throughout the state of Michigan; 

Region One - Northern Michigan and Upper Peninsula; 
Region Two - Mid Michigan; 
Region Three - Southeast Michigan; 
Region Four - West Michigan.

REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVES

Region One - Northern Michigan and Upper Peninsula
(Michigan/UP from Rt. 55 across the state and up)

Region Two - Mid-Michigan
(Everything south of 55, east of 27 and north of 69 thumb area, Flint, and Lansing in the region)

Region Three - Southeast Michigan
(Everything east of 27/127 and south of 69)

Region Four - West Michigan
(Rt. 27, starting at Houghton Lake, running to 69 down the state line)

Serve as a Special Interest Liaison

The Alliance provides an opportunity for inclusivity among all its constituent members. Constituent Liaisons are representatives from Private, Public, Two Year, Four Year, Experiential Education, Career Services and Organizational.

EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING REPRESENTATIVE

- Serve as an advocate and promote a greater awareness, understanding, and practice of cooperative education and internships as well as other experiential learning opportunities in the State of Michigan.

Develop relationships to build strong experiential programs, educate employers, educators, students, parents and government officials of the academic, career development, and economic benefits of internships and co-op.

Assist the membership chair with outreach to Experiential Learning professionals.

CAREER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

- Serve as an advocate for Career Services' priorities and needs within the Alliance.

Advocate new and innovative approaches to delivering career services to clients; promote career events and job fairs.

Assist the membership chair with outreach to Career Services professionals.

4-YEAR PUBLIC COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY REPRESENTATIVE

- Serve as an advocate for the 4-Year College/University priorities and needs within the Alliance.

Represent 4-year College/University needs within the Alliance.

Advocate new and innovative approaches to connecting with and serving 4-year Colleges/Universities.

- Assist the membership chair with outreach to the 4-Year College/University professionals.

2-YEAR PUBLIC COLLEGE REPRESENTATIVE

- Serve as an advocate for the 2-Year College priorities and needs within the Alliance.

Represent 2-year College needs within the Alliance.

Advocate new and innovative approaches to connecting with and serving 2-year Colleges.

- Assist the membership chair with outreach to the 2-Year College professionals.

PUBLIC COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY REPRESENTATIVE

- Serve as an advocate for the Private Colleges priorities and needs within the Alliance.

Represent the Private Colleges needs within the Alliance.

Advocate new and innovative approaches to connecting with and serving the Private Colleges Assist the membership chair with outreach to the Private College professionals.

 AUXILLARY REPRESENTATIVE

* The Alliance welcomes the support and participation of various statewide organizations and interests groups.

Serve as an advocate for their organizational/institutional priorities and needs within the Alliance.

Advocate new and innovative approaches to connecting with and serving other organizations/institutions.

Assist the membership chair in outreach to Organizational/Institutional professionals.

Serve on an Employer Panel

- Serve as a resource for the Executive Board to receive employer related feedback.

- Identify specific employer issues or concerns relating to the development of a close working partnership with the Career Placement, Internship, and Cooperative Education Community.
- Advocate Career Placement, Internships and Cooperative Education in the State of Michigan.
- Provide input on Annual Meeting Program Agenda and other programmatic events.
